St. John 19 reports the crucifixion of Jesus. The chapter describes in detail the scene of the condemnation of Jesus by Pilate, his flagellation and coronation of thorns, the walk to the golgota, the crucifixion and, finally, the death of Jesus. " This prophetic verse of Zechariah is quoted in John 19:37, where he is mentioned as being fulfilled during the crucifixion of Jesus, when he was pierced with a spear.
