Acts, 23

21. But do not thou give credit to them; for there lie in wait for him more than forty men of them, who have bound themselves by oath neither to eat, nor to drink, till they have killed him: and they are now ready, looking for a promise from thee.

Chapter 23 Acts of the Apostles narrates the continuation of the persecution suffered by Paul after his preaching in Jerusalem. Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in the heart of man, but the purpose of the Lord will prevail." This proverb highlights God's sovereignty about the plans of men and how he can transform difficult situations to fulfill his purpose.

Jeremiah 1:8: "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to protect you," says the Lord. "This is a message of God's encouragement to Jeremiah, who called Him to be a prophet in difficult times.

Romans 8:28: "We know that God acts in all things for the good of those who love Him, of those who were called according to their purpose." This verse talks about how God can use all things, even the difficult ones, to fulfill His purpose in our lives.
