18. Therefore I also will deal with them in my wrath: my eye shall not spare them, neither will I shew mercy: and when they shall cry to my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Ezekiel 8 describes the prophet's view of idolatry practiced in the temple of Jerusalem, including images of worship of pagan gods, sacrifices to idols, and other abominable practices. The following verses are related to this theme:

Deuteronomy 12:4 - "Thou shalt not do the Lord thy God." This verse refers to the prohibition of worship to other gods and the requirement to serve only the Lord. Ezekiel witnessed the violation of this prohibition in the temple of Jerusalem.
