2. AND THOU, BETHLEHEM Ephrata, art a little one among the thousands of Juda: out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel: and his going forth is from the beginning, from the days of eternity.

" This verse relates to Micah 5, for both talk about the coming of the Messiah and the promise that he will rule with justice and peace.

Psalm 72:7-8: "It will flourish in your days justice, and abundance of peace, until there is no moon. It will dominate from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth." In this verse, it is prophesied that the reign of the Messiah will be marked by justice and peace, which is also mentioned in Micah 5.

Isaiah 11:1-2: "For a shooting of the trunk of Jesse shall sprout, and from his roots a renewal will bear fruit.
