Genesis 34 tells the story of Diná, daughter of Jacob, who is raped by a prince of a neighboring city named Shechem. This verse highlights the importance of trusting God to do justice and avoid the pursuit of personal revenge. Diná's brothers sought revenge on their own and committed a violent act.

Matthew 5:38-39-"You have heard what has been said, 'I look at an eye, and tooth for a tooth." But I say unto them, Do not resist the perverse. If anyone hurts him on his right face, offer him the other. " This verse highlights the importance of not responding to violence with more violence, but of seeking peace and reconciliation. Diná's brothers responded to their sister's rape with violence and murder, creating an even more problematic situation.
