Chapter 4 of Genesis deals with the story of Cain and Abel, the first children of Adam and Eve. Hebrews 11:4: "By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice superior to that of Cain. By faith he was recognized as righteous, when God approved his offers. Genesis 4:15: "But the Lord said to Cain, 'If anyone kills Cain, he will suffer revenge seven times greater.' And the Lord has put a sign in Cain so that no one would find him killed him." This verse shows that God punished Cain for his action, but also protected him from the revenge of others.

Genesis 4:26: "To seven also a son was born, and he called him Enos. At that time men began to invoke the name of the Lord." This verse highlights the beginning of worship of God among people, showing that even in the midst of violence and sin, there were still those who sought a connection with God.
