This new covenant is superior to the old covenant established with Israel.

Jeremiah 31:33: "This is the covenant I will do with the community of Israel after those days," says the Lord. "I will put my law in their heart and write it into their hearts. Hebrews 9:15: "Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant so that those who are called receive the promise of eternal inheritance, since he died as a rescue by transgressions committed under the first covenant." This verse points out that the death of Jesus Christ was the price paid to establish the new covenant and fulfill divine promises. Through it, those who are called can receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
