11. Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man [is] worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.

Jeremiah chapter deals with the prophet's prophecy about the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, and how religious and politicians reacted to this message. This verse mentions the prophet Isaiah, who also prophesied about the destruction of Jerusalem, and how the leaders sought their guidance.

Ezekiel 33:30-33-"Thus, thus, O Son of man, speak to the children of your people and say unto them, When I make the sword on earth, and the people of the earth take a man of his own Terms, and constitute it for his Atalaia; and he comes to see the sword to come upon the earth, and to touch the trumpet and to warn the people, if he who hears the sound of the trumpet is not warned, and the sword and the sword and the Taking, your blood will be over your head. And behold, you have filled with your doctrine, and want upon us the blood of this man. " This verse shows how the religious leaders of the New Testament also pursue those who preached the message of God, as well as the leaders of Jerusalem in the time of Jeremiah.
