26. 'Take the book of this Law and put it beside the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God. Let it lie there as evidence against you.

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." Confidence in God and obedience to your law are important for guidance in life.

Romans 2:13: "For the simple listeners of the law are not righteous before God, but those who practice the law will be justified." Obedience to God's Law is important for justification before Him.
