Jesus Christ is the Perfect High Priest who offered a unique and perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity.

Hebrews 9:15: "Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant so that those who are called receive the promise of eternal inheritance, since he died as a rescue by transgressions committed under the first covenant." This verse points out that the death of Jesus Christ was the price paid to establish the new covenant and fulfill divine promises. Through it, those who are called can receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
