Chapter 20 of 1 Samuel narrates the continuation of the relationship between David and Jonathan, son of King Saul. Psalm 27:1: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom will I fear? Is the Lord the fortress of my life; whose I will fear me?" David trusts God to protect him against Saul's threats and maintains his faith unshakable, even in the midst of persecution and danger.
