Chapter 4 of Colossians contains Paul's final instructions on colosses and greetings to various people. Paul urges the Colossians to be wise in dealing with non-Christians, to take advantage of all the opportunities for testimony, and to pray that God will open doors to the preaching of the Gospel. He also sends personal greetings to various employees and asks the letter to be read in the church of Laodicea. Following five verses that relate to the topics covered in Colossians 4:

1 Peter 3:15: "Rather, Christ sanifies as Lord in your heart. Always be prepared to respond to anyone who asks you for the reason for the hope in you."
