In Ezekiel chapter 25, nations are punished because of their bad deeds, showing how justice can be astonished to the wicked.

Amos 1:3: "Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not remove the punishment, because they have traced Gilead with iron rails." In this verse, God talks about the judgment of Damascus because of his transgressions.
