" Moses emphasizes that obeying God is for our own good, and that this is what He requires from us.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 - "And if you hear the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to keep all His commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will exalt you over all the nations of the earth.
