Joshua, 11

13. And except for the cities that were on hills and in elevated places, the rest Israel burned. One only, highly-fortified Hazor, was consumed with fire.

Joshua chapter 11 reports the conquest of several Cananite cities by the army of Israel, led by Joshua. Psalm 121:8: "The Lord will keep your departure and your entrance from now on and forever." This verse speaks of God's protection about those who trust in Him. Joshua and his army had the protection of God during the conquest of Canaan.

2 Samuel 22:47: "Long live the Lord, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation." This verse speaks of worship and gratitude to God for His salvation. The Israelites could worship and thank God for the victory in the conquest of Canaan.
