13. So, then, let your spirit be ready. Be alert, with confident trust in the grace you will receive when Jesus Christ appears.

" Holiness of life is a recurring theme in the Bible, and here we see the need to control our desires to live honorably.

Hebrews 12:14: "Seek to live in peace with all and sanctification; without it no one will see the Lord." Sanctification is again mentioned as something essential to see God and live in peace with the people around us.
