Jeremiah, 21

7. Then, Yahweh declares, I shall deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials, the people and those of this city who have escaped the plague, the sword, or the famine, into the clutches of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, into the clutches of their enemies and into the clutches of those determined to kill them; mercilessly, relentlessly, pitilessley, he will put them to the sword."

Jeremiah 21 presents a message from God to the king of Judah, Zedekiah, about the judgment that was about to happen over the people of Judah. Do not pour out innocent blood in this place." God instructs the people of Judah to practice justice and law, freeing the oppressed and avoiding oppression, and does not pour out innocent blood.

Ezekiel 33:11: "I swear for my life, word of the sovereign, the Lord, who I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but in which they move away from their ways and live. Return from their bad ways! Why Would you die, O nation of Israel? " God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but wants them to repent and return to him.

Psalm 91:15: "He shall invoke me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in anguish, free him and glorify him." God promises to be present with his children during his anguish, freeing them and glorifying them.

John 16:33: "I told you these things that you may have peace in me. In this world you will have afflictions; however, have the mood! I have won the world." Jesus warns his disciples that in this world they would have afflictions, but that he had won them, bringing peace and hope.
