Judith, 16

1. Break into song for my God, to the tambourine, sing in honour of the Lord, to the cymbal, let psalm and canticle mingle for him, extol his name, invoke it!

Judite 16 narrates Judite's singing after his victory over General Assyrian Holofernes. She thanks God for giving her strength and courage to overcome the enemy of her people. The following verses are related to gratitude and praise to God for their help and protection.

2 Samuel 22:47: "Long live the Lord, my rock! Blessed be my God, the rock of my salvation!" This verse shows confidence in God as the source of salvation and strength in difficult times.
