26. Taking the young bull that was turned over to them, they prepared it and called on Baal from morning to noon, saying, "Answer us, Baal!" But there was no sound, and no one answering. And they hopped around the altar they had prepared.

Exodus 20:3: "You will not have other gods before me." This is the first commandment of God's law to Moses, and highlights the exclusivity and importance of worshiping only to God, not other gods.

1 Corinthians 8:6: "But for us, there is one God, the Father, whom they are all things, and to whom we live; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, for which they are all things, and we for he." This verse highlights God's unity, and how he is the Father of all things, and how all things were created through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
