29. The spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah. He passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and through Mizpah-Gilead as well, and from there he went on to the Ammonites.

Chapter 11 of the Judges Book tells the story of Jephtha, a brave warrior who was chosen as leader of his people in a time of conflict and oppression. Jephtter makes a vow to the Lord, promising that if he overcomes the battle against the Ammonites, he will sacrifice the first person who leaves his home to find him. " These verses introduce the vote of Jephthah and the tragedy he will eventually cause.

Hebrews 11:32: "And what else will I say? I have no time to talk about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephtha, David, Samuel, and the prophets," This verse mentions Jephtter as a hero of faith, despite his flaws and errors.

2 Corinthians 5:7: "For we live by faith, and not for what we see." This verse talks about the importance of faith in God, even when things do not seem to make sense or are difficult to understand, as was the case with Jephthah in their difficult situation.
