3. For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and daughters who are conceived in this place, and concerning their mothers who give birth to them, and concerning their fathers, from whose stock they have been born in this land:

Jeremiah chapter 16 speaks about God's command so that Jeremiah will not marry or have children, for there will be great destruction and death in Judah and there will be no reason to celebrate life. Isaiah 13:9: "Behold, the day of the Lord comes, horrendous, with fury and ardent wrath, to make the earth in the sillow and to exterminate sinners." This verse talks about how God will punish sinners and destroy the earth.

Ezekiel 7:19: "They shall cast silver on the streets, and gold will be considered as a filthy thing.
