28. Let each one, then, examine himself before eating of the bread and drinking from the cup.

Thanks and offered him to the disciples, saying, 'Drink from him all of you. This is my covenant blood, which is shed for many for forgiveness of sins.' This verse is another direct reference to the Lord's Supper, showing the importance that Jesus gave to this practice.
