10. The Day of the Lord is to come like a thief. Then the heavens will dissolve with a great noise; the elements will melt away by fire, and the earth with all that is on it will be burned up.

Chapter 3 of 2 Peter deals with the return of Jesus Christ and the destruction of the world by fire. Peter urges Christians to live godly and eagerly await the return of Christ. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in the chapter:
