23. So Peter invited them in and put them up for the night. The next day he went off with them and some of the believers from Joppa accompanied him.

Acts of the Apostles 10:47-48: "Then Peter said, 'Can anyone refuse the water from baptism to these people who received the Holy Spirit in the same way as us?" And ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days. " This verse shows that Peter recognized the validity of the faith of Cornelius and his family and baptized them in the name of Jesus Christ.
