9. And Moses and the priests of the race of Levi said to all Israel: Attend, and hear, O Israel: This day thou art made the people of the Lord thy God.

Deuteronomy 27 is a chapter that presents instructions on the ceremony of consecration of God's law in the promised land. Deuteronomy 6:6-9: "These words that I command today will be in your heart. You will teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you are sitting at your home, when you are walking the way, when you lie down and when you get up . You will tie them as a sign in your hands and will be like tracks on your forehead. Write them in the batty of your home and in your gates.
