1 Chronicles 13 describes David's failed attempt to bring the ark from the covenant to Jerusalem. Proverbs 28:13: "Which covers your transgressions will never prosper, but what confesses them and will reach mercy." When Uzzá touched the ark of the covenant, he was disobeying God.
