Ezekiel, 7

27. The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

Ezekiel 7 describes the arrival of the day of judgment on Jerusalem because of its disobedience and sin. The verses selected below reflect God's judgment on the people of Jerusalem and their lack of repentance:

Isaiah 13:6: "Shout of pain, for the day of the Lord is close; as a destruction coming from the Almighty, he will come!" This verse announces the arrival of the day of the Lord, a day of judgment for those who rebelled against God and His will.

Jeremiah 30:7: "Ah! What a great day that will be! There will be no other like him. It will be time for anguish to Jacob, but he will be saved from this anguish." This verse talks about the day of judgment, which will be a time of great anguish, but those who turn to God will be saved.

SHAPONIES 1:14-15: "The great day of the Lord is near, close and coming quickly.
