Jeremiah 21 presents a message from God to the king of Judah, Zedekiah, about the judgment that was about to happen over the people of Judah. Isaiah 1:15-17: "When you extend your hands in prayer, I will hide from you my eyes; even if you multiply your prayers, I will not hear them! Your hands are full of blood! Remove your bad works away from my sight! Stop doing evil, learn to do good! Seek justice, end up with oppression. Fight for the orphan's rights, defend the cause of the widow. Jeremiah 22:3: "Thus says the Lord, Practice justice and right. Deliver the oppressed from the oppressor's hand. Do not oppress the foreigner, the orphan or the widow.
