Exodus, 6

5. And now that I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are treating as slaves, I am mindful of my covenant.

Chapter 6 of the book of Exodus narrates the continuation of the conversation between God and Moses, in which God reaffirms his promise to free the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not flood you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not consume you. Jeremiah 32:20-21: "You have performed miracles and wonders in Egypt and realized them to this day, both in Israel and other people, and became famous. With your powerful hand and extended arm, you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
