21. In that time, Joshua went and put to death the Anakim from the mountains, from Hebron and Debir and Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah and Israel. And he destroyed their cities.

2 Samuel 22:47: "Long live the Lord, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation." This verse speaks of worship and gratitude to God for His salvation. The Israelites could worship and thank God for the victory in the conquest of Canaan.
