Ezekiel, 6

3. Mountains of Israel, listen to the word of Yahweh! To the mountains and hills, to the rivers and valleys Yahweh has spoken: I am going to bring the sword against you and destroy your high places.

Ezekiel 6 deals with God's condemnation of the people of Israel because of their idolatry. " This verse speaks of God's command to destroy all places of worship and symbols of worship of pagan peoples in their new earth. Exodus 20:4-5: "Thou shalt not make the image of sculpture to you, no similarity of what is above in the heavens, or under the earth, nor in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not go to them or serve them; I, the Lord your God, I am a jealous God, who visits the iniquity of parents in their children, until the third and fourth generation of those who hate me. " This verse is one of God's commandments to his people, forbidding the creation and worship of images and idols. He relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

2 Kings 17:16-17: "They left all the commandments of the Lord, their God, and made for themselves two melted metal calves. They worshiped the whole army of heaven and served Baal. They burned their children as an offering, practicing guessing And witchcraft, and they sold themselves to do what was evil in the eyes of the Lord, causing his wrath. " This verse describes the idolatry of the people of Israel and how they have moved away from God's commandments. This relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

1 Kings 18:21: "Then Elijah has come to all the people, and said, How long shall shall you be between two thoughts? If the Lord is God, follow him; and if Baal, follow him. . " This verse is part of the story of Elijah confronting Baal's prophets.
