2. When you give something to the poor, do not have it trumpeted before you, as do those who want to be seen in the synagogues and in the streets in order to be praised by the people. I assure you, they have been already paid in full.

Luke 12:22-23: "Therefore, I say unto them, Do not worry about their own lives, as to what to eat or drink; or their own bodies, as to what to wear. It is not the more important life than food and the body more important than clothing? " Jesus teaches about the importance of trusting God to meet daily needs and not worry about the future.
