Chapter 2 of Sophonies talks about the imminent destruction that will come about the neighboring nations of Judah, including Moab, Ammon, Cux and Nineveh. The chapter ends with a call to repentance to the inhabitants of Judah so that they can be spared from the wrath of God. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in sophonies 2:
Isaiah 13:6: "howl, for the day of the Lord is near; it will come as a brush of the Almighty." This verse talks about the coming of the day of the Lord and its destructive nature, which relates to the prophecy of saponies about the destruction that will come over the nations.
Jeremiah 46:28: "Do not fear, O my servant, Jacob, says the Lord, because I am with you; for I will destroy all the nations among which I launched you; but I will not destroy at all, but I will punish you with measure , and in no way will I have you innocent. " This verse talks about the punishment that will come upon Babylon for its disobedience, which relates to the prophecy of Sophonies about the destruction that will come over the nations.

Leave the wicked his way, and the evil man his thoughts, and convert to the Lord, who shall be sympathized; To our God, because it is great to forgive. " This verse talks about the importance of repentance, which is a call that Saponiah makes to the inhabitants of Judah at the end of chapter 2.
