6. Do manfully and be of good heart: fear not, nor be ye dismayed at their sight: for the Lord thy God he himself is thy leader, and will not leave thee nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Joshua 1:7-8: "Only be strong and very brave to be careful to do according to the whole law that my servant Moses ordered you; it does not deviate from it, neither right nor left, so that you may be Successful wherever you walk. Do not depart from your mouth the book of this law, first meditate on him day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in Him; successful."
