Exodus 20 is one of the most important chapters of the Bible, for in it are presented the ten commandments, which are the basic principles of God's law. Matthew 22:36-40: "Master, what is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy understanding. Great and first commandment. And the second, similar to this, is, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. These two commandments depend on the whole law and the prophets.
