9. And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD: because he hath said, The river [is] mine, and I have made [it].

Ezekiel 29 contains a message of judgment against Pharaoh and Egypt because they have opposed to God's people. " This verse warns God's people against seeking help in Egypt rather than trusting God. The judgment message in Ezekiel 29 is a direct consequence of this lack of confidence in God.
