Ezra, 5

2. Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which [is] at Jerusalem: and with them [were] the prophets of God helping them.

2 Chronicles 36:23: "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and in charge of building a house in Jerusalem, who is in Judah. All his people, be it his God with him, and climb Jerusalem, who is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is the God) who is in Jerusalem. " This verse shows that the Persian king Cyrus allowed God's people to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.
