18. Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed [like] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
Jeremiah chapter deals with the prophet's prophecy about the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, and how religious and politicians reacted to this message. They accused him of blasphemy and threatened him with death, but Jeremiah kept his position. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:
2 Kings 19:2 - "And sent Eliakim, who was over the house, and Sebna, the registrar, and the elders of the priests, dressed in bags, Isaiah the son of Amoz the prophet." This verse mentions the prophet Isaiah, who also prophesied about the destruction of Jerusalem, and how the leaders sought their guidance.
