Luke chapter 2 describes the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem and events that occurred shortly thereafter. Luke 1:32: "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give you the throne of his Father David." This verse is a prophecy about Jesus as the Messiah, the fulfillment of God's promises to David.

Matthew 2:11: "And entering the house, saw the boy with Mary, his mother, and prostrate, worshiped him; and opening his treasures, they offered him gifts: gold, incense and myrrh." This verse describes the visit of the wizards, who brought gifts to the newborn Jesus.

Luke 2:40: "And the boy grew and strengthened, filling himself with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him." This verse indicates the development of Jesus' childhood, which grew up in wisdom and grace before God and men.
