14. So then, my dear friends, while you are waiting, do your best to live blameless and unsullied lives so that he will find you at peace.

Hebrews 10:27: "But a terrible expectation of judgment and a burning fire that will devour the opponents." The author of Hebrews talks about the punishment of the wicked on the day of judgment, a theme that is also addressed by Peter in 2 Peter 3:7.
