Jeremiah, 27

1. In the beginning of the reign of Zedeki'ah the son of Josi'ah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD.

And when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, says the Lord, by his iniquity, and I will punish the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it a perpetual desolation. " This verse predicts the punishment that God will inflict to Babylon after they conclude His task of punishing Judah, showing that God is in control of the situation.

2 Chronicles 36:17: "God handed them all into the hands of the Chaldeans." This verse reports God's action to hand over the people of Judah into the hands of the Chaldeans as a consequence of the disobedience and sins of the people. This is related to the theme of Chapter 27 of Jeremiah, where the prophet warns the people to submit to the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to prevent the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple of God.
