Deuteronomy, 2

7. The LORD, your God, has blessed you in all your undertakings; he has been concerned about your journey through this vast desert. It is now forty years that he has been with you, and you have never been in want.'

Deuteronomy 2:19 - "And you have not contained with them, nor with Moab; you did not fight them, there was nor battle." Moses reminds the Israelites that they should not fight the Moabites, for God gave them that earth as inheritance. Deuteronomy 2:25 - "From today I will begin to put the terror and fear of you over the peoples under the whole heaven, who hear your fame and shake before you." Deuteronomy 2:30 - "And Seom, king of Hesbom, did not want us to go through his earth; for the Lord thy God has hardened His Spirit, and made his heart stubborn, to deliver into thy hand, as he sees today. " This verse highlights the belief that God was controlling the fate of the Israelites and that his enemies were being delivered into his hands by divine will.

Deuteronomy 2:37 - "Only with the land of the children of Ammon you have not arrived, neither to the entire Ribeira Jaboque, nor to the cities in the mountain, nor anywhere the Lord our God has forbidden." This verse resembles the Israelites that they should not fight the children of Ammon, for God did not give them this land.
