9. I will bring you out of the city, and hand you over to foreigners, and inflict punishments upon you.

Ezekiel 11 is a chapter that deals with the divine punishment that would come about the leaders of Israel because of their corruption and infidelity. Isaiah 1:23: "Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves; each one of them loves the bribe and runs after the rewards. They do not defend the rights of the orphan, nor do they care about the cause of the widow." This verse talks about the corruption of the leaders of Israel, a theme that is central to Ezekiel 11.

Jeremiah 21:10: "Because I decided to bring misfortune against this city, not happiness," says the Lord. "It will be delivered to the hands of the king of Babylon, who will set it on fire." This verse talks about the divine punishment that would come about Jerusalem, central theme in Ezekiel 11.
