Revelation 16 describes the series of seven glasses of the wrath of God that are poured out on earth, bringing judgment and destruction over those who rejected salvation and opposed God. The verses below were selected for their relationship with the topics covered in this chapter.
Jeremiah 25:15-16: "For thus said the Lord, the God of Israel: Take this cup of the wine of wrath and make him drink to all nations to which I send you; and stagge, and go crazy because of the sword I will send between them. " This verse talks about the wrath of God being poured over the nations because of his disobedience.
Psalm 79:6: "Pour your furor over the nations that do not know you, and on the kingdoms that do not invoke your name." This Psalm calls for God to bring judgment on those who do not recognize Him as Lord and Savior.
Isaiah 51:17: "Awaken, awake, get up, O Jerusalem, that you have drank from the hand of the Lord the chalice of your wrath; for the chalice shaking drank to the bottom." This verse describes the judgment that fell on Jerusalem because of the disobedience of the people.
Exodus 7:20: "Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded, and, lifting the rod, wounded the waters in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants; and all the waters of the river became in blood." This verse remembers the water plague that became blood, which was one of the ten pests sent over Egypt as divine judgment.
Revelation 11:18: "The nations have been wrapped; and your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead and give reward to your servants, the prophets, the saints, and to those who fear your name, both to the little ones. to the great, and destroyed those who destroy the earth. " This verse talks about the wrath of God that will be poured upon those who destroy the earth, and the reward that will be given to their faithful servants.
