22. And the Lord could no longer bear this, because of the evil of your intentions, and because of the abominations that you have done. And so, your land has become a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, and it is without an inhabitant, even to this day.
In Jeremiah 44, God condemns the people of Judah for their continuous disobedience and for persisting to worship foreign gods. They choose their own ways, and pleasure in their abominations; so I will also choose what afflicts them, and bring upon them what they feared so much. " This verse shows how God reproves the worship of idols and how those who persist in following their own ways are punished.
2 Chronicles 36:16-17: "But they moved from the messengers of God, despised their words and ridiculed their prophets, until the wrath of the Lord lit against his people and there was no remedy.
