18. And one third part of men were slain by these three afflictions: by the fire and by the smoke and by the sulphur, which proceeded from their mouths.

Revelation 9 describes the opening of the fifth and sixth seals, which results in the release of terrible pests on the earth. Matthew 24:21: "Then there will be great tribulation, as has never been from the beginning of the world so far, nor will there be." This verse describes the tribulation that will occur during the end of time, similar to what is described in the fifth seal of Revelation 9.

Luke 21:25:25-26: "There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; on the earth, anguish between nations in perplexity because of the bustle of the sea and the waves; men fainting from terror, expecting things that will survive to the world." Joel 2:4-5: "Your appearance is like that of horses; and how knights like this.
