Daniel 1 narrates the story of four young Hebrews who were taken captive to Babylon and were instructed to eat from the king's food and wine, but refused because of their religious beliefs. Proverbs 23:6-8: "Do not eat the keen food, nor want your delicacies, for it is like someone who thinks to yourself: 'Eat and Drink', but you are not heart with you. " This verse warns against greed and excessive love for food, showing that selfish people are not concerned about the welfare of others.

Romans 14:17: "For the kingdom of God is neither food nor drink, but justice, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." This verse emphasizes the importance of more important things than food, such as justice and peace coming from God.

Mark 7:18-20: "He (Jesus) said unto them, 'So are you like this too? Don't you understand that anything that enters man can make him unclean? to the toilet. 'And so he declared all the' pure 'foods.
