Ezekiel, 6

8. And I will leave in you some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when I shall have scattered you, through the countries.

Ezekiel 6 deals with God's condemnation of the people of Israel because of their idolatry. Deuteronomy 12:2-3: "You will knock all the places where the nations they have to possess have served their gods, on the high mountains, and over the hills, and under the whole leafy tree; and you will break their altars, and break down ye shall his statues, and his woods will burning to fire; and will destroy the sculpted images of his gods; and shall give up his name from that place. " This verse speaks of God's command to destroy all places of worship and symbols of worship of pagan peoples in their new earth. 2 Kings 17:16-17: "They left all the commandments of the Lord, their God, and made for themselves two melted metal calves. They worshiped the whole army of heaven and served Baal. " This verse describes the idolatry of the people of Israel and how they have moved away from God's commandments. This relates to Ezekiel 6, where God is condemning the people of Israel for their idolatry and worship of false gods.

1 Kings 18:21: "Then Elijah has come to all the people, and said, How long shall shall you be between two thoughts? If the Lord is God, follow him; and if Baal, follow him. . " This verse is part of the story of Elijah confronting Baal's prophets.
