Ezekiel, 8

1. And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the ancients of Juda sat before me, that the hand of the Lord God fell there upon me.

Ezekiel 8 describes the prophet's view of idolatry practiced in the temple of Jerusalem, including images of worship of pagan gods, sacrifices to idols, and other abominable practices. The following verses are related to this theme:

Deuteronomy 12:4 - "Thou shalt not do the Lord thy God." This verse refers to the prohibition of worship to other gods and the requirement to serve only the Lord. Ezekiel witnessed the violation of this prohibition in the temple of Jerusalem.
