1. James the servant of God, and of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

St. James Chapter 1 deals with perseverance in trial and the importance of listening and practicing the Word of God. To provide five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter, we will exclude St. James's verses.

This verse urges Christians to run their career of life with perseverance and put aside the embarrassment and sins.

1 Peter 1:22: "Purifying your soul into obedience to the truth, for unhealthy fraternal love, ardently love you with a pure heart." This verse shows the importance of obeying the truth of God and loving each other with a pure heart.

Luke 11:28: "But he answered, Rather, blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it!" This verse highlights the importance of listening and keeping the Word of God.

John 13:17: "You know these things, blessed you are if you practice them." This verse emphasizes the importance of practicing what is known, not just listening and knowing the Word of God.
